NJ Personal Training Report for health conscious people...

WARNING: Don't Try To Get In Shape

At A Health Club in New Jersey (or on your own) Until You Read This

The uncensored truth my husband told me not to write

Dear Friend,

How would you like to get into the best shape of your life?

Wouldn't it be nice to have well-toned muscles, a flat stomach...and incredible energy? Can you picture how good you would feel walking down the street with a body that is firm, strong, athletic and healthy?

If so, then you should know this: Your chances of getting in shape at a health club are slim and your chances of getting in shape on your own, without help, are slim and none and slim just left town!

Why do I say this? I say it because it's the truth.

Please listen: I don't need to "knock" health clubs. I'm not competing against them. I've been running my own personal training business for the past 7 years at Fortunato Karate--which is located in Timberline Plaza, Sewell--and I don't have room for 1,000 or more members. Heck, I don't even have room for 1/2 that amount of people.

I truly only have room for a select group of about 25 people who want results, are willing to work hard and are coachable. Unlike crowded health clubs, this select group of 25 people come to us one at a time.

And guess what? You'll have an appointment for every workout. This means I am waiting for and expecting you when you come in for your workout.

Lets Compare Services

First of all, take your typical health club. After they take your money for an entire year, do they care if you are happy with your program? Do they care if you're getting results? No, they don't. At least not until "same time next year."

Second, does a health club have room in their gym, or in their parking lot for every member they have? Of course not. If only half of the members showed up, they would have absolute chaos.

This can mean only one thing: When a health club takes your money, they know you are probably not going to come back. In fact, they hope you don't. Its easier money for them.

Third, does a health club that promises to get you in shape have a money-back guarantee? Not a chance. Almost all of my clients belonged to a health club at one time. They were real excited when the salesperson told them, "And you come see me any time you have questions about your workout."

Then what happened? After they signed up, the salesperson was nowhere to be found. If, by chance, they were lucky enough to find her, she was busy feeding the same line to someone else. And if they tried to make eye contact with her, she didn't know them from Adam.

And as if this wasn’t bad enough...

There are 13 more reasons why you won't

get in shape at a health club:

Reason #1. The chrome and fern crowd. This means that a lot of the equipment at a health club looks pretty, but doesn't get you in shape. Most health club equipment (especially the chrome machines) could be melted down and given away without diminishing the value of the club one iota.

At our center, every piece of equipment gets you in shape. Nothing is for show. If the equipment didnt work, we wouldnt have it.

Reason #2. The meat market crowd. Single people who are either lonely or in desperate need of a date, go to health clubs to look for people to "pick-up."

At our center, you are not distracted by people who are interested in a date. You get in shape while you're here, and if you need a date, you find him/her elsewhere.

Reason #3. The gym bunny crowd. Whats a gym bunny? A gym bunny is a special type of person who wears spandex tights and a leotard, then bounces around from machine to machine trying to get everyones attention.

At our center, no spandex allowed! Especially the extra tight ones that are 2 sizes too small.

Reason #4. The young crowd. Without a doubt, most of the people who train at health clubs are young men and women who have never really been out of shape. The majority of people who want and need to get in shape are older than 21. But because of the young crowd, people who are over 30 usually dont feel comfortable in a health club.

At our center, We have one 65 year-old client. One 62 year-old client. 2 in their 50's and 3 in their 40's. None of them would feel comfortable in a health club.

Reason #5. The mirror-gazing crowd. Although there is nothing inherently wrong with looking at yourself in the mirror, it is difficult to be around people who never leave the mirror. You'll find a lot of mirror-gazers in health clubs.

At our center, you might look in the mirror to see if you're lifting technique is correct. But you are not posing.

Reason #6. The scream, grunt and groan crowd. When you are trying to work out, it isn't pleasant to have someone standing a few feet away, screaming and yelling as he lifts his weights.

At our center, you don't hear loud screaming. And no one is slamming weights on the floor.

Reason #7. The equipment hog crowd. These are the people who sit on "their" machine so that you dont slow down "their" workout.

At our center, everyone is like family. Everyone gets along with everyone else. If you are being trained privately, you never have to wait. If you are trained in a group of two or three, you'll never wait longer than 15 seconds!

Reason #8. The sweat hog crowd. It's no fun using a bench that someone just sweated on, and didn't wipe clean.

At our center, we keep the equipment super clean. We show respect & courtesy for the next workout person by doing this.

Reason #9. The steroid crowd.  Being around people on steroids is scary. You never know what will cause Mr. Testosterone to blow his (or her) cool.

At our center, no one takes steroids.

Reason #10. The macho bodybuilder crowd. This is the crowd that intimidates people with their size. People fear that weight training will give them huge, ugle, grotesque-looking muscles.

At our center, on one intimidates anyone. As your trainer we are "down to earth." We are interested in getting you in shape, not impressing you with our accomplishments.

Reason #11. The deal-gabber crowd. This is the crowd that tries to sell everyone who comes in the door something they don't need.

At our center, some people invest in supplements that they want and need, but it is their choice and they are not pushed.

Reason #12. The plastic crowd. This is the crowd with the phony laugh and the plastic smile.

At our center, we laugh, smile & have fun, but it's for real!

Reason #13. The "expert" crowd. This is the crowd of trainers, teachers, and "experts" - who think they know how to train someone because they have a training certificate from a weekend workshop.

At our center, our clients know that a training certificate doesn't mean anything if you can't get people in shape. When they see the results they get and start to understand our exclusive training principles--like how to keep the body safe by using proper lifting and breathing techniques--they realize we are the most qualified trainers in town.

What I Can Do For You

Now that you know how successful my personal training program is, you're probably wondering what you're going to get for your money. Listed below are some of the most common questions I am asked, along with my reply.

Q: Are you going to make me look like one of those body builders with ugly veins popping out everywhere?

A: I do not train people to look like body builders. I will be training you to be physically fit and healthy, not to win physique contests.

Q: Are you going to help me after I enroll?

A: I will help you at each and every workout. I will monitor your training and make the necessary adjustments. This is not a gym where I sign people up and forget about them. You are in good hands EVERYTIME you come in to see me.

Q: Is this workout something I could be doing on my own?

A: Are you doing it on your own now? If not, admit the truth. You need help. Michael Jordan had a personal trainer. Don't you think a highly motivated athlete like that could do without one? It helps to have someone coaching you. If you do it alone you won't get the great results you will get here.

Q: Are there a lot of people running around in here while I'm training?

A: In your personal one-on-one training session you will not be distracted by other people. You won't have to wait for machines. You won't have people watching you train. You'll feel comfortable here. I am here to help, support, motivate and encourage you.

Q: Do you work with me on a diet?

A: Absolutely. I will give you a program that will melt your body fat off. Most importantly, it's a program that is easy to follow. You'll be able to stay on it and you won't feel deprived. Of course, if you didn't need to change your dietary habits, I would just concentrate on the exercise.

Q: Do you train everyone who asks for your help?

A: I train a "select group" of people. What this means is that you must be coachable, willing to learn and a good over-all person. Just because you have the time and money doesn't mean I will train you. I train people who are friendly, hard workers and who want results. I believe that training people who are not committed wastes time and money, and damages my reputation as a trainer. It is a definite lose-lose situation. I prefer a win-win situation. Also, I only have room for about 25 full-time clients, not 1,000 people who are signed up but never show. If you want me to work with you, I ask that you take advantage of what I have to teach. You can weigh close to 400 pounds and still qualify as a worthwhile client-so long as you assure us that you are going to give 100%.

But if you think of our services as another class you would like to "try", you might as well go to a health club.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: There is no question that training with me costs more than it does for you to join a gym. But that is not the question. What you really want to ask yourself are these 3 questions:

1.   Do I want results?

2.   Is the crowded, unfocused atmosphere of a health club going to give me the results I want?

3.   Am I able to get in shape on my own?

As you answer these 3 questions remember this: If you keep doing what you have always done, you'll keep getting what you have always gotten. So, don't wait another day before doing the right thing. Pick up your phone right now and call me...856-464-0402.

When you call I will set up a FREE, NO OBLIGATION consultation and sample workout. This will give us a chance to meet and give me the opportunity to find out what's really important to you in an exercise program. It also gives you a chance to get a taste of program and how I work with poeple.

Also, I understand that people want to know up front what the tuition will be for personal training. For 12 one-on-one personal training sessions the tuition is $420. Remember, what's important about the tuition investment is are YOU going to get what you want. I pretty certain I know what that is: RESULTS! That's what we all want.

Anyway, when we meet we will go over in more detail your specific goals. We will design and agree on a program together. I look forward to meeting and training you.

Sincerely,

Cheyenne Fortunato
